Milestones

Since our founding in October 2021, Mapping Network has cultivated a strong portfolio of partnerships within the IoT industry:

Strategic Collaboration

Mapping Network is leading the development of a Community Safety Network in collaboration with various levels of the Canadian government. This public infrastructure initiative leverages decentralized technologies to enhance safety, optimize emergency response, and improve asset visibility across communities.

The network uses LoRaWAN-enabled devices and sensors to enable real-time tracking, asset monitoring, and environmental data collection. Applications include municipal fleet tracking, snowplow and maintenance equipment monitoring, and theft prevention for public works and critical assets.

By supporting open-source, low-power, and cost-efficient technology, this initiative promotes digital equity and lays the groundwork for smart city infrastructure that benefits both rural and urban populations alike.

This collaboration also opens opportunities for local businesses, educational institutions, and municipalities to participate in building the network—creating new pathways for innovation, job creation, and community resilience.

Significant progress is already underway. This is just the beginning—join us in building a safer, smarter, and more connected future across Canada and beyond.
